Fire at South Australian Plan

28 December 2011
Melbourne, Australia

Australian Renewable Fuels Limited (ASX: ARW) advises that a fire broke out at the Largs Bay, (South Australia) plant on the evening of Saturday 24th December 2011.

The plant was not operating at the time of the fire and no one was injured. The fire was contained to the loading bay and several smaller storage tanks, which sustained substantial damage. Initial investigation indicates that the fire may have started from an electrical fault in a floodlight in the loading bay. The central production plant and main storage tanks were not damaged. The plant is insured.

The full extent of the damage is currently being assessed and the impact on operations at Largs Bay will be determined over the next week. An investigation will be undertaken to establish the cause of the fire.

The incident does not affect ARF's ability to continue to complete existing orders and service customers as the Barnawartha (Vic) and Picton (WA) plants are not impacted and will continue to operate.

Yours Sincerely
